Why?
Why are we writing on a blog for a College Writing class? I understand that it has something to do with making us better writers but when the teacher misspells words is that giving us the wrong message? I am sure she is doing it on purpose but I needed something to write about because something has to be put on this wall type jawn. So yeah there are about four sentences on this now so I am guessing I am finished.

Hola, Andre. Are you referring to my use of the slang "cuz" (for because)? This might be a good place to think about the use of language and its relationship to power. "Cuz" I used a word incorrectly according to Standard English, my authority as a teacher somewhat diminished in your eyes. Maybe the question is: "Who determines what is 'correct' and 'proper' English?" "Are we allowed to break the standards?"
I will be giving a set of guidelines tomorrow about blogging and hopefully clarify the purpose of this assignment. Cheers :]
